Father, Son, Spirit

0

The father conceives his son
the son grows with his father
the spirit allows the heritage
Father, son, spirit. The father says sweet things to his son
the son is a rosebud to his father
the spirit remembers the instant of conception
Spirit, father, son. The father works, gladly
the son at school, learns much
the spirit, lovingly, joins them
Son, father, spirit The son makes his father, a good father
the union of father and son,
is the work of the spirit of love
Spirit, son, father.

As A Decrepit Father Takes Delight

0

As a decrepit father takes delight
To see his active child do deeds of youth,
So I, made lame by Fortune’s dearest spite,
Take all my comfort of thy worth and truth.
For whether beauty, birth, or wealth, or wit,
Or any of these all, or all, or more,
Entitled in thy parts, do crownèd sit,
I make my love engrafted to this store.
So then I am not lame, poor, nor despised,
Whilst that this shadow doth such substance give
That I in thy abundance am sufficed
And by a part of all thy glory live.
Look what is best, that best I wish in thee.
This wish I have; then ten times happy me!

To Her Father With Some Verses

0

Most truly honoured, and as truly dear,
If worth in me or ought I do appear,
Who can of right better demand the same
Than may your worthy self from whom it came?
The principal might yield a greater sum,
Yet handled ill, amounts but to this crumb;
My stock’s so small I know not how to pay,
My bond remains in force unto this day;
Yet for part payment take this simple mite,
Where nothing’s to be had, kings loose their right.
Such is my debt I may not say forgive,
But as I can, I’ll pay it while I live;
Such is my bond, none can discharge but I,
Yet paying is not paid until I die.

My Miracle Dad

0

I know that I’m not perfect, and I’m sure you know that to,
But it means the world to know, that I can always talk to you…
I am sure you didn’t expect all this, when you took me in to stay…
But you still loved me enough, that you did it anyway.
You always seemed so calm, when deep down you were so scared,
And no matter how serious it was, you always seemed prepared.
I know I’m lucky to have you here, after all that you’ve been through,
And no matter what just happened, I can always say I love you…
You always can forgive me, even when times get bad,
And I’ll love you until the day I die, because you are my miracle dad!

I Do Not See You Often

0

I do not see you often, but
I see you every day.
I’ve taken you along with me
As I have grown away.
We talk about the things that fill
A life with love and pain,
But our timeless golden time,
Unspoken, still remains.
You will always be my dad,
And I, your darling daughter.
The days may turn like waterwheels,
But that will never change.
The thought of you will make me glad
No matter where I wander.
You are the place that cannot feel
Uncanny, dark, or strange.

My Lost Love, My Lost Child

0

I wonder what you’re doing
and how your living life
what new things did you learn today
and how did you sleep last night
did you feel raindrops on your face
or sunshine in your eye
of all the questions left uknown
the biggest one is why
why can’t we be together
why can’t I watch you grow
why can’t I guide you through this world
this I just don’t know
but I promise we’ll be together
no matter how long it seems
just know your always in my heart
and always in my dreams

Chore

0

My Daddy is really Mean
Because he makes me clean and clean
I think it’s mean
To make tweens clean
I hate spilling juice in a mug
Because I have to clean the rug
I don’t have to sweep
But I clean with a Vacuum deep
I wish I could vacuum less
To relieve my stress
