Faith Poems

In The Beginning

0

If I’d known from the beginning
That I was built for winning
Life would have been so different.

Like a dog with his toy
Pulling and tugging until destroyed
Fruitless ambition, so inefficient.

Never knowing your glance
Ever left me the chance
To prove the world was mine.

It was always known
That with You in control
Your work behind the scenes,Divine

Forthcoming

They say dream and have hope
but it’s because I dream, I’ve lost hope

They say love and leave hate
but it’s because of love, I’ve met hate

Shooting Stars

0

Under the stars
at 12 am.
snuggled into arms that will always be there.
shooting stars rip through the sky.
sharp yellow lights fly around and around.
new stars come
old stars fade away.
into the distance or into the midnight blue sky.
round and round the world they fly,
until they fall into the earth to leave an crater,
or back into the space around us,
until they fade away.
fade into our memory like you will fade into my memory.
